Getting Started with Donari

Welcome! This guide walks you through setting up the app from zero to your first donation, plus getting an overlay into OBS.

What you'll need

  • A modern browser (Chrome / Edge / Firefox) — Donari is a web app you use in the browser
  • OBS Studio (for adding the overlay as a Browser Source)
  • An account on each platform you want to connect:
    • Streamlabs (if you use it)
    • Google account (for YouTube Live Chat)
    • Twitch account (if you use it)

Step 1 — Sign in

  1. Open the Donari URL in your browser
  2. Sign in with your Google account

:::note Alpha access Donari is currently in Internal Alpha — access is invite-only. Contact the team to request access. :::

All your data and settings live in your account — sign in from any machine and pick up right where you left off.

Step 2 — Pick a language (optional)

The app supports Thai / English — switch from the Sidebar / Header (in the UI).

Step 3 — Connect your first source

Head to Settings → Connections and connect at least one source:

Step 4 — Set up TTS

Go to Settings → TTS Voice and pick a provider:

  • Web Speech API (free, no API key needed) — recommended for getting started
  • Google Cloud TTS / OpenAI TTS / Gemini TTS — higher quality

→ Detailed TTS setup guide

Step 5 — Add the overlay to OBS

  1. Go to Settings → Overlay and pick a preset (e.g. Classic Box)
  2. Copy the OBS Browser Source URL (Compact mode recommended)
  3. In OBS → + Sources → Browser → paste the URL you just copied

→ Detailed OBS Overlay setup guide

Step 6 — Test the system

Open the Test page (sidebar) → fill in the mock donation fields → click Send Test

  • If everything's wired up: the overlay pops in OBS preview and you'll hear the TTS voice.
